    About the MSA

The RCH Medical Staff Association exists to represent and support the senior medical staff of the hospital. (See the Documents page for the MSA constitution.)

Consultant Medical Staff and Fellows are eligible for membership. We strongly encourage all RCH staff in these categories to support the association by becoming financial members and by attending the business meetings and social events organised. The MSA has important roles in fostering many aspects of hospital life and is a focus for:

    • Communication with hospital management
    • Industrial relations issues
    • Advocacy for quality of patient care
    • MSA Scholarship: Click HERE for more information. Funds from members contributions are used to support an advanced trainee with travel expenses. Dr Will Morton from the Department of Anaesthesia won in 2013, to attend a leadership program in Sydney.
    • Elizabeth Turner Medal: this award is presented at the end of year Dinner. Pease click HERE for the criteria and list of past winners.
