No.14: RefWorks: create an account and log in

Introduction

You must create an individual account to use RefWorks whether you are on site or off site. Your account identifies you as belonging to the RCH library "group" of RefWorks users. Follow the instructions here for creating and logging in to your account.

Create an individual account

On site

Go to RefWorks and select Sign up for an Individual Account. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email.

Create an account on site

You may create multiple accounts if you wish. There is no limit to the number or references in each account.

The 'Getting Started' page provides links to the Tutorial, Help and Quick Start Guide. This page no longer appears once references are added to the account, but the links are available via the 'Help' menu.

Off site

Contact the library to get the Group Code for remote access. Go to RefWorks and enter the Group Code on the Remote Access tab, then select Go To Login. Select Sign up for an Individual Account. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email.

Why so plain?

This site is styled using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). If you can read this message, either you have disabled styles yourself, your browser does not support CSS sufficiently well to be served up the styles, or you are viewing this on a mobile device. Everything here is still readable and usable, it's just not so pretty :)
