Readability check

You can use Microsoft Word as a rough guide to how readable your fact sheet is. 

To enable readability checking in Word 97/2000

1. click on 'Tools' > spelling and grammar 
2. Click on the "Options" button.
3. Tick 'show readability statistics'
4. Click OK.
5. Tick 'Check grammar'
6. Perform a spellcheck. Once spelling and grammar are completed a readability box is shown including the Flesch-kincaid Readability score.
7. Aim for a Flesch-Kincaid grade level of between 5-7.
