VicFEAT 2009 - Paediatric education and upskilling at the RACP and by video-conference (Paediatricians and GPs)

The VicFEAT series is popular among paediatricians throughoutᅠAustralia and is offered live at the RACP (Royal Australian College of Physicians) and through satellite link-up throughout the country.ᅠᅠ A number of GPs joined the first FEAT session for 2009, and continue to be welcomed by the RACP for the rest of the year. We hope you can participate in one or all 5 sessions and welcome your feedback.ᅠ All are on a Wednesday eveningᅠᅠfrom 7 - 8.30pm. Sessions include a couple of case presentations, plenty of open discussionᅠbetween all participants (in person and by video-conference)ᅠthen feedback, recommendations andᅠbrief presentations from a panel of experts.

  1. Where to attend?
    • Decide if you prefer to attend in person at the RACP on St Kilda Road, at the RCH Satellite centre or by video conference from rural/regional Victoria.ᅠ Here's a list ofᅠVictorian sites thatᅠusually register:

  • Albury Base Hospital / UNSW Rural Clinical School - Lecture Theatre
  • If your local site isn't there you can register your own for $220 (call Susan at Kids Connect RCH Primary Care Liaison 9345 4645).
  1. Register (registrations are essential) call 03 9927 7777, go to theᅠRACP websiteᅠor emailᅠevents@gthevents.com.
  • Follow the instructions which may mean signing up if it's your first time, then choosing a venue.ᅠ
  • Host site (to attend in person) is the RACP at 417 St Kilda Road.
  1. Check your email for handouts and venue information - you'll get a confirmation email including venue information.ᅠ Closer to the time you'll get handouts by email and any more information you need about the venue.

  1. On the night, find your way to your chosen venue in time for a 7pm start.ᅠ Drinks and snacks are provided from 6.30pm at the RACP, rural/regional attendees may chose to bring along something to eat & drink.

  1. CPD - Log on to the RACGP www.racgp.org.au to self-record' your 2 CPD points.
    • If this is your first time to log-on, use your QA number for both username and password.
    • RACGP requires the presentation title and duration.
    • You can get 20 per triennium this way; your record will update online once you reach 10 points.
