The free Hoyts Beanbag Cinema screens recent release G or PG-rated films on weekdays for inpatients, outpatients (with an appointment on the same day), their siblings, parents or carers.

Family Sessions (kid friendly) are held at 10.30am Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 2pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

'Mum and Dad' movie sessions are held 7pm Thursday and Saturday evenings.

Inpatients must have signed approval from a clinician on their ward that they are well enough to attend and children aged under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or carer.

Children aged 12 and over can attend a screening unaccompanied, however inpatients should have an accompanying carer. 

Bookings are essential, especially during busier periods such as school holidays, and can be made through the Family Hub (call 9345 4662 or in person – Ground Floor North Building).

Because seating is limited, outpatients can only book in person on the day of their appointment. 

Please note, the cinema is a food and drink-free zone.
