Equipment reprocessing
All patient care equipment must be reprocessed and rendered safe for use according to Australian Standards (AS/NZ 4187).
All equipment used in the Operating Suite and used in a sterile body site must be sterile. Further information regarding such equipment can be assessed from the sterilizing departments.

An approved process must be used on all other patient care equipment before use on another patient.
