Appointments...Gait analysis is expensive and time consuming and is only useful for certain types of patients. We will therefore only see a patient if asked to by one of three orthopaedic surgeons associated with the Gait Laboratory. These are Professor H.Kerr Graham, Mr Gary Nattrass or Mr Paulo Selber. To arrange a consultation to discuss whether gait analysis may be useful with any of these doctors you will need a referral from your general practitioner or paediatrician and a current physiotherapy report. An appointment can be made at the RCH Orthopaedic Outpatients by phoning (03) 9345 5858 for public appointments or for privately funded patients appointments can be made by phoning (03) 9345 7979. After the consultation referral to the Gait Laboratory will be made if appropriate. The Gait Laboratory staff will contact you when your appointment is due. An appointment can usually be issued within 6 weeks of referral. What to bring...
