Bone Dysplasias

In bone dysplasia bones do not grow normally. This can lead to children adopting different walking patterns. The combination of the unusual bone growth and different walking pattern may lead to abnormal forces occurring in the leg bones and joints. Such forces, if allowed to act over a long time, may cause stress to particular joints. Three dimensional gait analysis can provide measurement of these forces on the joints before and after a corrective operation to the leg.
