Rob's working life began in the early 1980s as a TV and feature film sound editor for the South Australian Film Corporation and then Crawford Productions. He went on to write and direct several educational films for Film Victoria and a cinema short with the comedy duo Los Trios Ringbarkus. Rob spent two years as a video producer with the Health Department of Victoria, during which time he co-produced a seven episode youth health awareness program, "Here's to Your Health", which aired on Channel 7.
He has been Senior Video Producer with the ERC media unit since 1990, where his work has encompassed educational and promotional programs for clients within the RCH and other health related organisations. Rob manages the RCH's patient TV channel, which produces two weekly shows, "Going Nuts with Macadamia" and "Hospital Lingo".
Rob also has a reputation for organising technically complex interactive AV links between multiple operating theatres and conference venues both at RCH and externally.

Sam has been volunteering and working at the Royal Children's Hospital since 1998 and is a well established member of the ERC media production team.
He produces educational programs for various internal RCH departments including the weekly 'Going Nuts with Macadamia' show at ERC. He also assists external clients with shooting, editing, computer graphic design and DVD authoring.
Sam has 10 years freelance experience managing video and photography 'special occasion' assignments and has contributed to a number of organizations on a volunteer basis. These include Optus Local Vision, as a camera and audio operator for the production "'tars of The Turf', and F & L Video Productions where he has gained experience observing different techniques of filming and editing.
His role at ERC Media has included operating studio cameras and floor managing for the 'Going Nuts with Macadamia' show. Currently he is the resident Director and Editor of the program. Sam also assists in the production of the very popular weekly 'Hospital Lingo' show.
CareerAfter a 15 year freelance career, Tim joined the staff at RCH in early 2007 to contribute his many talents to the ERC media production unit.
Tim's assignments at ERC have included every aspect of production for both internal and external health clients including production coordination, shooting, editing, clay animation, computer graphic design, disc package design, DVD menu design and authoring.
His distinguished freelance career included the filming, direction and editing of numerous television documentaries, TV series, commercials and corporate videos. He also has skills in architectural animation, interactive touch screen design and 3D animation.
Tim has also lectured in digital video at Monash University, Melbourne.

Rachel is a freelance media producer specialising in CD ROM and video production in the health and education sector. Using a diverse range of project management and production skills she enjoys being involved in all aspects of a project from conception to end product.
Previous roles include Multimedia Producer for a production house specialising in corporate video and media, three years as a Communications Officer for community organization Volunteering Victoria, Community Television Producer for Optus Local Vision and Content Producer for web based youth organisation, Vibewire.
Combining her design and authoring skills she produces interactive multimedia CD ROMs and enjoyes dissecting large volumes of complex information and rearranging it into a user friendly product.
Rachel has also performed production co-ordination tasks and completed full scale video production projects for ERC including 'Breaking Through' a documentary about youth at risk.

With over 10 years experience in broadcast media, video production, electronic advertising and marketing, Simon's roles to date have included copywriter, account manager, producer and traffic controller among others.
After graduating with his bachelors degree, Simon landed a role programming in-flight entertainment for Ansett Australia, before moving to London and working in television program sales and later, on-air promotions. Back in Melbourne, he put his writing skills to work as a copywriter on radio campaigns, jingles and television commercials, before working in the marketing team at Monash University's Faculty of Education.

Joanna began her career as Agency Producer for commercial production houses Adpower Advertising (Myer Stores) and Marketforce - Perth's premier advertising agency. In 1985 Joanna left for an overseas trip that was to last over five years.
While living in New York City, Joanna completed a number of seminars and workshops with well known members of the New York City Film & Video Department. Joanna later became Executive Producer with Target Productions in Boston, a leading producer of Corporate and Marketing video working with clients such as AT&T TeleCommunications, Digital and Compaq Computers and the Boston Science Museum.
Joanna returned to Australia in 1991, settled in Melbourne and worked as a freelancer on projects for Mobil Petroleum, The State Premier's Department, Health & Community Services (DHS), Victoria University of Technology, the Victorian Employer's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cadbury Schweppes and Police Victoria. In 1993, Joanna started her own business designing, manufacturing and distributing a national brand of unique products for babies & toddlers which she operated for 7 years.
She joined the Educational Resource Centre (ERC) at the Royal Children's Hospital in mid-1999 bringing with her a comprehensive range of business and media production skills. She currently functions as Operations Manager of Media Production Services at ERC and continues to produce and direct large-scale productions for both internal and external clients.
The Media Production unit has grown exponentially over the last few years which has spurred a special interest in effective project management. With the assistance of an external software designer, Jo has developed unique job tracking software to effectively allocate and account for human resources, track usage of equipment and consumables, improve client service and streamline billing.
Joanna is also heavily involved in the advancement of the telemedicine/telehealth programs at RCH and headed up the project team responsible for the creation of RCH Online Shop.

After growing up in the family grocery business in Canberra, Demos decided on a career change and undertook study in media production and multimedia. He worked briefly for Datatrax Touch Screens creating 3D titles and sequences and also helped out the Canberra Hellenic Youth Club heading up their events committee, designing posters, and organising ticketing, bookings and marketing.
Soon after graduating from the University of Canberra he moved down to Melbourne where he quickly picked up freelance work on short films and television commercials specialising in props and set design.
During this time Demos fulfilled a number of roles with Go Motion Studios including editing, service and repair of computers and DVD authoring. He now works regularly with the production team at The Royal Children's Hospital as a videoconferencing technician, cameraman and editor.

After completing a double degree in Commerce and Arts, Emre emerged from VUT with an enviable range of technical, business and artistic skills.
Emre joined the ERC media production team as a duplication and digital media technician but quickly moved into more demanding editing, shooting, technical research and client service roles.
Prior to RCH, Emre worked with a legal firm in Sydney developing hardware, and designing their web site. His early freelance work included various projects involving video production, animation and music composition. As a part time musician, he has performed at community festivals and the Melbourne International Arts Festival.
QualificationsMacadamia is a recipient of many awards including; the prestigious "Golden Palm" for his acting debut in the movie I Walked a Mile in these Shoes. He was also a "Best Support" in I Have Tired Feet. In television he was the recipient of the Brass Logie for his portrayal of Mister Squiggle in I Draw.
Macadamia has over 18 years experience in Film and Television starting his career in wardrobe. He then moved into acting gaining work in several footwear commercials, his break into movies came in the late eighties.
In the early nineties after being over looked for the part of Batman in the movie version of Batman and after several years of writing, directing, producing and acting in his own films, Macadamia saw children's television as the next medium for his talents.
In 1991 Going Nuts With Macadamia debuts on The Royal Children's Hospital's FUN Channel 5. A smash hit, it is now in its 9th year of production with well over 300 live shows already screened hospital wide, with just as many special guests from all the hospital wards appearing on the show.
