    Career

    Simon joined ERC in 2008 as Video Production Coordinator, bringing considerable experience in advertising copywriting and account management, and television production. His strong client relations and concept development skills help smooth the complex process of video production for clients. Simon works closely with internal and external clients to ensure projects realise their creative potential, applying his scholarly interest in film and television, especially documentary production, to a wide range of health media applications.

    Career

    Rob joined ERC as its Senior Video Producer in 1990, bringing invaluable experience in film and broadcast television to The Royal Children's Hospital. His vast technical and artistic skills helped shaped the direction of the video unit and establish it as the leading health media production unit in Australia. This included the development of the in-house television services in conjunction with the Educational Play Therapy department. Rob's skills are in demand across the health sector; from setting up live surgery narrowcasts to award-winning fundraising and promotion videos.

    Awards

    • Rob's fundraising support videos have won Gold and Silver awards in Australia (Australian Institute of Medical & Biological Illustration) and the USA (Health & Science Communications Association; BioCommunications Association).
    • He received the Royal Children's Hospital "Pied Piper's" Scholarship in 1992, for which he undertook a study tour of patient TV services at US and Canadian children's hospitals.

    Career

    Emre joined ERC as a duplication and digital media technician and has since gone on to more demanding roles in production and client management. His specialist IT and audio-visual knowledge has allowed the unit to grow and develop its technical capabilities.

    Career

    Following an industry placement at ERC, Michael has continued as a regular contributor to the in-house television programs at The Royal Children's Hospital. He also performs many support duties to the unit and brings accomplished skills in all facets of video and audio production.

    Sam Ira

    Diploma in Video Production from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT)

    Career

    Sam has been volunteering and working at the Royal Children's Hospital since 1998 and is a well-established member of the ERC video team, with a long list of video credits to his name. He produces educational programs for various internal RCH departments including the weekly Going Nuts with Macadamia show at ERC, and is the show's regular director.
