These resources have been developed to support the education and wellbeing of students with orthopaedic conditions, and to assist their teachers and their schools.
The project was led and co-sponsored by the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne (RCH) Education Institute. It was also funded by grants from the Kimberley Foundation and the Transport Accident Commission Victoria (TAC) – Community Disability Support Program, with printing supplied by Aviva and Fuji Xerox Australia.
An advisory team supported the evolution of this resource and key stakeholders represented:
- Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD), Student Wellbeing Branch
- Strathmore Secondary College
- RCH Orthopaedic Team
- TAC Child and Youth Services
- RCH Education Institute.
Many staff at the RCH Education Institute, the RCH orthopaedic multidisciplinary team and a range of professionals and community organisations also made valuable contributions.
