Research

The RCH Education Institute conducts research in the area of education and health that informs policy development and practice at a system, regional and school level.

Our work draws upon knowledge gained from research and practical experiences to produce new materials, products, processes, systems and services or to improve substantially those already produced or installed (Frascati Manual 2002).

Currently, three themes define the work that we are doing:

  • Risk management aims to provide school communities with effective risk management programs that identify and mitigate all risks to people, property and information.

  • Connectivity aims to contribute directly to the improvement of student health, wellbeing and connection to the school community as a result of trauma or chronic illness.

  • Inclusion aims to forward the full acceptance and participation of all students in the life of the school community.
