About the Dermatology department
The paediatric dermatology department of the RCH provides clinical care for skin conditions affecting children and adolescents, in an inpatient and outpatient environment.
Outpatients services are provided 4 days a week. These clinics cater for common skin disorders and when appropriate, multidisciplinary clinics.
A vascular laser service is provided to treat birth marks affecting all ages, especially young children. A link to other relevant departments is made when necessary.
Eczema Workshops and consultations are provided by the Dermatology Nurse Consultants, catering for parents and carers to provide extended and practical education.
