Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
Q. How do I get a CLARA login and password?
ᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠ A. Please read the instructions on the Health Information Website
Q. There is a patient that isn't coming up in our ward list, what should I do?
A. The CVAD register takes the patient list from the hospital system. If they weren't added before midnight, they won't be included on the list. Please submit your list without that patient. If the patient has arrived on your ward since midnight, they do not need to be included.
Q. I have a patient on the list who was discharged in the late evening, so shouldn't be included, what should I do?
ᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠ A. Simply click 'No CVAD' for any patients who were not in your ward at midnight.
Q. One of my patients has come up twice in the list, what should I do?
A. Make the correct selections for one of the entries, and click 'No CVAD' for the duplicate
Q. My patient has a 'long line', is that a CVAD?
A. Generally speaking, no. Any device inserted peripherally (into an arm or leg), with the tip located in the chest or abdomen is a PICC. If the tip of the line is located in a limb, at or below the axilla, the line is not a CVAD. These lines are sometimes called midline catheters or long lines.
Q. I made a mistake but I have already clicked submit. How do I fix it?
A. If you need to make changes, simply select the day and your ward again, make adjustments and click submit again.
