Who are we?

The role of CQS (Clinical Quality & Safety) team is to support staff and consumers to improve the quality and safety of the healthcare experience for children and their families attending the RCH

What do we do?

  1. Ensure governance and leadership in quality and safety.
  2. Support consumer engagement & involvement in RCH activities.
  3. Improve consumer access to information: supporting and enabling patients and their carers to freely access health information relevant to their care and to comment on that care.
  4. Support evidence-based practice, clinical improvement and innovation.
  5. Clinical and Medico-legal risk management: supporting staff to manage and learn from adverse events, incidents, complaints and medico-legal issues related to care.
  6. Support the building of collaborative partnerships between consumers, community healthcare providers and the RCH.
