The Centre for
International Child Health (CICH) was established in 2001 within
the University of Melbourne's Department of Paediatrics and the
Royal Children's Hospital. CICH is a World Health Organization
Collaborating Centre for Research & Training in Child &
Neonatal Health, and a partner in the Women's and Children's Health Knowledge Hub.
The Centre's core aims are to address the inequity in
global child mortality, to assist countries to achieve their
Millennium Development Goals in child health, and to develop strong
child health systems.
To do this we focus on the following approaches:
Strengthening local child health institutions in the region, and
supporting clinical, research and leadership capacity among
paediatricians and other child health professionals
