Welcome to ChIPS

"ChIPS isn't just about chronic illness.  It's about being an adolescent and getting on with life."

***Are you interested in getting a cool ChIPS designed hoodie?  ChIPPERS have an opportunity to order one of these at a low cost or perhaps free (subsidised by ChIP In).  You can also order them if you are not a member of ChIPS and your payment will contribute to fundraising for the program.  All the details are currently being worked out, but if you are interested in getting one, contact Meagan and someone will be in touch with you soon***

Thanks for all your support.  Hope to be back! Love Kristen

ChIPS is a Chronic Illness Peer Support program for young people living with any type of chronic illness or medical condition.

The ChIPS Program has been assisting young people with chronic illness for over 13 years.  The program is based in Melbourne at the Centre for Adolescent Health, Royal Children's Hospital.  ChIPS programs are also available in Bairnsdale (regional Victoria), Sydney (NSW) and Mackay (Queensland).  The main purposes of this site are to:

  • Enhance links between ChIPS members regardless of geographical location.
  • Provide information about the ChIPS program to the community
  • Provide ChIPS and Friends of ChIPS members with up to date information about coming events.
  • Increase public awareness regarding chronic illness and adolescents.
