Child Health and Safety Resource Centre

The Resource Centre for Child Health and Safety (CHAS) at The Royal Children's Hospital is a parent resource centre open to the public.Telephone (03) 9345 6429
The Centre retails books for parents, medical texts and home safety products.The Centre is part of the Family Services Department, which also includes the Safety Centre, the Family Resource Centre and the Volunteer Service.

The Centre provides:

A range of approved books, home safety products, paediatric textbooks, mail order service, a limited health information service, rare diseases database, a Listing of 200+ Victorian support groups, medical reference section, and maps and transport information. Feel free to Browse our Catalogue online now.

A selection of safety products are installed or displayed in the Family Resource Centre. Visitors can complete a Self Guided Tour.  
While you can come in anytime the Family Resource Centre is open, you might find it more convenient to come when CHAS is also open so you can see the full range of products that are available, and make a purchase if you wish. 

Families with special needs children or those wanting individual advice on home safety are welcome to make an appointment with a safety consultant in the Safety Centre. Telephone (03) 9345 5085.
