Eades, M. Freeing Someone you love from eating disorders. (1993) Putman Publishing. Practical suggestions for dealing with the issues within the family.

Pipher, M. Reviving Ophelia. (1996) Doubleday. $22. Addresses the difficulties adolescent females face and how adults can intervene and support.

Siegal, Brisman & Weinshell. Surviving an Eating Disorder-Strategies for Families & Friends. (1999)   Harper & Row. $32. Considered an excellent resource for parents, this text offers practical suggestions to assist understanding and change.
