Finding Help - Treatment

Treatment

Where can you access treatment?

Eating disorders are serious illnesses requiring treatment. They do not generally go away without professional help and it is often helpful to find a practitioner who has experience in treating eating disorders.

The important thing is finding a treatment that is right for you. Many people find what is successful for one person is not right for them. Sometimes it takes a few tries to find something or someone that works for you.

Where you go for treatment may depend on a number of things: what kind of eating disorder you have, how old you are and where you live and what you can afford. The following is a list of the kinds of places where you may find help. For more specific information about services in Victoria please follow the links.
