CEED provides consultation and service support to public mental health services (Adult and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) and their programs in Victoria.
To enhance the capacity of Victoria's Mental Health Services to respond to the early intervention, treatment and rehabilitation needs of those with Eating Disorders (ED) or emerging Eating Disorders.
CEED offers foundation training in eating disorders management for mental health clinicians through the State-wide Mental Health Education and Training (Cluster) Program.
CEED undertakes ongoing assessment of service training needs. As a major priority CEED will be developing training modules specifically for adult and child and adolescent mental health services in recognition of developmental needs of clients.
CEED conducts advanced training for mental health clinicians treating eating disorders. For more information about CEED education and training and other professional education in eating disorders visit the CEED website.
CEED can develop and provide in-service training to meet local service needs.
CEED can provide tertiary consultation to specialist eating disorder, AMH and CAMH services to support their local delivery of effective treatment and service responses. Development of Peer Group Supervision Programs for mental health service clinicians working with eating disordered clients is part of the service offered by CEED.
CEED can support Victoria's Mental Health Services and clinicians who are working with clients who have an eating disorder. CEED senior clinicians provide specialist consultation to mental health services and clinicians working with clients who have an eating disorder (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, eating disorder not otherwise specified and binge eating disorder) or emerging eating disorder. The Consultation Service is available from 9.00am — 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Consultation can be provided via the telephone, face-to-face via site visits, or via Telepsychiatry when appropriate.

Rachel Barbara, B.A, B.S.W, AASW
Rachel is a social worker employed as an Eating Disorders Senior Clinician with CEED. Rachel has worked in the field of eating disorders for many years, including being employed as the Coordinator of the Eating Disorders Foundation of Victoria (Inc.) Rachel has a strong professional interest in eating disorders and is passionate about improving our society's capacity to better prevent, respond to and clinically manage eating disorders.
Michelle Roberton, BSc (Nutrition), Grad. Dip (Diet.), Grad. Dip (Hlth Ed), APD
Michelle is an accredited practising dietitian employed as an Eating Disorders Senior Clinician with CEED. Michelle has over twenty years clinical experience working with people with eating disorders in an extensive range of public and private sector settings and treatment modalities. She has been involved in consumer advocacy through ten years on the Board of Management of the EDFV and the development of clinical services and education and training of health professionals across Australia.
Claire Diffey, RPN, Clinical Member VAFT
Claire is a registered psychiatric nurse and family therapist with over 30 years experience in public mental health, particularly in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. She has extensive experience in consultation, education, training and service development in a broad range of service and educational systems. Her interest and clinical work in eating disorders has developed over many years, culminating in her employment as an Eating Disorders Senior Clinician with the CEED in 2007.
