Suzanna Vidmar

Suzanna first started working at the Royal Children’s Hospital in 1986.  She spent two and a half years analysing data in the Biostatistics Unit, the initial incarnation of the Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit. She left in 1988 to work as an analyst/programmer at the Gas & Fuel Corporation.  Having realised her foolhardiness in leaving the world of medical research, she returned in 1996 to the currently named Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit.

Suzanna manages CEBU's data service and gives advice on questionnaire design and data management.  She collaborates on and/or develops research databases. She is currently developing a short course on “Principles of Data Management”.  Along with her role in improving the quality of data collected at the Royal Children’s Hospital she continues to perform statistical analyses on various research projects. Her greatest involvement in this capacity is on the Australian Cystic Fibrosis BAL multicentre RCT.
