Clinical Services

The Centre for Community Child Health provides specialist clinical services for children with a range of developmental and behavioural problems. These are also teaching clinics for paediatric trainees who are supervised by paediatricians with specialist expertise.

Clinics are held weekly unless noted otherwise.

ADHD Assessment Thursday am
Fortnightly
Multidisciplinary assessment of children aged 4-8 yrs with ADHD. The children will undergo paediatric, psychology and child psychiatry assessments. For more information, visit the ADHD Assessment Clinic webpage.
Behaviour Wednesday am Assessment and management of children with ADHD and other behavioural problems. For more information, visit the Behaviour Clinic webpage.
Communication Tuesday am Paediatric and speech pathology assessment of children with severe language delay, and associated developmental problems. For more information, visit the Communication Clinic webpage.
Encopresis / Enuresis Friday am Assessment and management of children with soiling and wetting, and other general paediatric problems, including toilet training. For more information, visit the Encopresis / Enuresis Clinic webpage.
Learning behaviour

Monday am

Assessment and management of children with learning difficulties, behaviour problems and developmental delay including language, motor skills, toileting. For more information, visit the Learning and Behaviour Clinic webpage.
Preschool Development Monday pm Assessment and management of young children with developmental problems which may impact on emerging learning and behavioural skills. For more information, visit the Preschool Development Clinic webpage.
School Function Program Thursday am
Fortnightly
Multidisciplinary assessment of primary school aged children with learning disabilities. Paediatric, special education, psychology, and occupational therapy input. For more information, visit the School Function Program webpage.
Sleep Friday pm Assessment and management of all types of sleep problems in children from infancy to adolescence.  For more information, visit the Sleep Clinic webpage.
Unsettled babies Thursday pm Assessment and management of young babies with crying, irritability, and settling and feeding difficulties.  For more information, visit the Unsettled Babies Clinic webpage.
Other Services
Cognitive and clinical psychology Private, fee for service Provided by an experienced clinical psychologist.
Private consulting clinic Tuesday all day Prof. Frank Oberklaid and Assoc. Prof. Jill Sewell provide specialist developmental behavioural services.
