From time to time the Centre also undertakes projects in other topic areas; this includes consultation and reviews of the research evidence in a particular topic, or specific projects in areas such as oral health.

Centres for Excellence - The Clinical Health Outcomes Project 1999-2000 This project aimed to develop a set of measures of child functional outcome and patient satisfaction measures suitable for use throughout the Women's and Children's Network (primarily The Royal Children's Hospital and Sunshine Hospitals).
Infant Teething Study 1997-1998 This study set out to find out whether tooth eruption leads to teething symptoms.

Promotion of pre-school oral health for rural children

2002-2004 Controlled multi-faceted community intervention trial to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of improving oral health in rural preschool children by developing oral health promotion skills in existing community health professionals.
