CCCH receives core funding from The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne (16% in 2006), with the balance of its income coming from competitive research grants, professional fees and from the corporate and philanthropic sectors.

CCCH actively seeks opportunities to develop strategic partnerships with organisations and individuals to improve children's health and wellbeing. In particular, CCCH needs funding for its translation and dissemination activities to bring about better outcomes for children.
