Evaluation

As a result of concerns about poor child and family outcomes and a shift to results-based funding models, there is increasing pressure on services to demonstrate the effectiveness of programs they provide.

CCCH has widespread experience in evaluating programs, services and systems, employing a variety of strategies including participatory, impact, process and outcome-based.

Childcare Links Evaluation (CCL) 2004-2005 Evaluation of an initiative that aimed to improve the wellbeing of young children by strengthening the resilience of their caregivers by using child care services to foster the development of child-friendly communities.
City of Casey Best Start Local Evaluation 2003-2006 Evaluation of the City of Casey Best Start Partnership Project.
Derwent Valley (Tasmania) Volunteer Home Visiting Program Evaluation 2003-2004 Evaluation of the Derwent Valley Volunteer Home Visiting Program to determine whether it offers an effective practice in working with and supporting families to build capacity and reduce isolation.
Parenting Plus Evaluation 2003-2004 Evaluation of the Queen Elizabeth Centre’s Parenting Plus program – an intensive, home visiting program which focuses on parenting skills-development for vulnerable families with children aged 0-4 years.
Connecting the Community 2003-2006 Evaluation of the Kingston City Council's Connecting the Community project, which aimed to connect disadvantaged and vulnerable families to a co-ordinated and responsive service support system that improves family functioning and builds a more resourceful and self-reliant community.

Noah's Ark Toy Library Review 2004 A review of the role of the Toy Library Project, in providing opportunities for play for children and the provision of information and support for families was conducted on behalf of Noah’s Ark.
Parenting in a New Culture Evaluation 2004-2005 Evaluation of Phase Two of the Parenting in a New Culture Project initiated and developed by the Northern Migrant Resource Centre.
Child Health Record Review 2004 Research to assess the value of the Child Health Record as a parent education resource and to explore its utility as a work practice tool for, and between, maternal & child health Nurses and other practitioners.
Review of Early Intervention Activities 2004-2005 Review of a range of school-based early intervention programs operated by the Tasmanian Department of Education.
Platforms Feasibility in Moonee Valley  2002-2004 Feasibility study to develop a local government model of service co-ordination for young children (0-8 years) and their families to improve the earlier identification and response to health, development and behavioural concerns in young children in the City of Moonee Valley
