The Nurse Unit Manager has overall responsibility for the child's nursing care in the ward. The Nurse Unit Manager is sometimes called the Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or Nurse in Charge.
Associate Nurse Unit Managers are experienced nurses responsible for running the ward during each shift. There is always an associate Unit Manager on duty on the ward.
A Clinical Nurse Coordinator coordinates the child's care in the hospital and at home. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is also the link between the parents, the child and the staff.

The Ward Nurses provide day to day nursing care for the children.
Nursing staff also work in the Day Oncology Unit (DOU). The DOU has an Associate Unit Manager, Nurses and outpatient desk staff.
Some nursing care can be provided at home by a number of different services such as Royal District Nursing Service (RDNS). This can reduce the number of hospital visits. The nurses at the Children's Cancer Centre can arrange this. Please click here for contact details.
