Research

The CCC is strongly dedicated to research with laboratory, clinical and public health research all conducted in the centre. The CCC has a unique profile in children's cancer and participates in high quality research endeavours both nationally and internationally.

The research laboratories of the Children's Cancer Centre at the Royal Children's Hospital are affiliated with the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) and the University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics.

There are five teams which conduct basic and applied research into cancer growth, and the resistance of some cancers to treatment. The research is aimed at developing new methods of diagnosing and treating cancer.
