The Royal Children's Hospital requires all employees to undergo a Police Check and a Working with Children Check prior to the commencement of employment at RCH as part of their conditions of employment.
This requirement is predicated on the belief that the hospital has a duty of care to protect and not place at unreasonable risk its clients/patients or staff, and, therefore, must investigate the suitability of each prospective employee prior to offering him/her a position.
Offers of employment are conditional upon receipt of a clear outcome from both employment checks.
