Vision Statement
The Academic Child Psychiatry Unit (ACPU) seeks to develop innovative clinical research programmes that augment our understanding of:

key risk and resilience factors, biologically and psychosocially,
-
novel specific medication and psychological treatments and
-
best practice monitoring of behavioural, cognitive and emotional outcomes of such treatments, alone and in combination.
These innovative clinical research programmes are necessarily congruent with state and national health and mental health policy so the research findings can be of direct relevance for clinical service delivery and future clinical service planning.
